dbschema should always print the content in the same order that two dbschema files are still easily comparable after many changes

Use case: Find the essential dbschema changes between two releases. How can I achieve that? – With a dbschema -d database > filename for each release and compare the files.

Problem: For example if functions, procedures or views are dropped and recreated with the same name, because the underlaying table altered (view) or the interface changed, they are appended to their corresponding sections. Maybe there are more modifications that causes this problem.

    You can use myschema to solve this problem several ways:

    -o option sorts all objects by name rather than by id (tabid, procid, etc.) which is the order that dbschema uses (and myschema by default)

    --dependency-order sorts tables such that dependent tables are generated after their parents.
