Supply DBD-Informix Driver for PERL DBI on Linux

I was doing DB development in an Ubuntu/Linux enviornment using PERL. PERL has a database abstraction layer called DBI. Supports preparing queries to both MySQL and Informix with no changes. It does rely on a lower layer DB interface driver, for Informix this is called DBD-Informix.

MySQL and some other DBs supply a .deb or .rpm driver package. I searched Google, other people were looking, nothing was available. I had to create the driver from source and download the Informix Client-SDK, a real painful process. I only did that because I HAD TO HAVE informix support for my application.

I'm sure many folks have given up. Might be a good idea to supply the driver.
