Data Masking in INFORMIX

Our objective is not to see any sensitive data outside the production systems.

As an example here is our real requirement.

In a PROD environment, we can see the table data as usual . For data protection purposes, the data of the same table needs to be masked in TEST env,

create table customer (last_name char2(25), first_name har2(25), address char2(25));

e.g -> IN PROD

insert into customer values('abc', 'def', 'sri lanka');

Select * from customer -> 'abc', 'def', 'sri lanka'

In the TEST environment, the same information needs to be masked for something like:

LAST_NAME FIRST_NAME ADDRESS

Ahd Uiea 55 xxxx ue

It means, it doesn't need to be readable. Just needs to be masked.

We are seeking the INFORMIX solution on this request similar to ORACLE data masking ? e.g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH19PdNe8iE

IBM has the InfoSphere Optim family of products that can achieve this and work with several databases:
https://www.ibm.com/analytics/optim

Can be used for data archiving, test data management, non-prod masking etc.
The several flavours share some common features, like subsetting, and after subsetting data can be archived and removed from production, or can be copied and optionally masked into non-production/test systems
