On restore or chunk addition allow automatic creation of files in certain folders.

On restore or chunk creation allow automatic creation of cooked files.

Add an onconfig parameter which contains a list of folders where automatic cooked chunk creation is allowed.


Cooked chunk files can be automatically created in this folder of any subfolders.


AUTO_CHUNK_CREATION /informix/data

would allow chunk creation in /infomrix/data and any subfodlers

.g. /informix/data/dbs_1 or /informix/data/dbs_2


This is especially helpful for:

  • Adding chunks in environments which contains HDR and multiple RSS nodes.

  • Performing a restore from another environment which would mean just the folders need to be created.
