SSO (Single Sign-On) for ODBC connections via ActiveDirectory authentication

The current configuration of a SSO (Single Sign-On) authentication for a Windows workstation is based on GSSCSM, for which support will be discontinued in future Informix releases and is very complex and error-prone. Alternatively, ODBC connections can be configured via the Windows Control Panel in the ODBC driver. However, this requires the user and password to be stored in plain text, which is a security risk. In addition, it is not possible to manage different user accounts, since the data stored always applies to all users and does not depend on the user who is actually logged on.

For this reason, a way should be provided to enable a simple user-specific authentication via Active Directory to Informix, so that when a Windows user logs on to the domain, the credentials are transmitted to the database server and the appropriate access rights are granted without having to store user data locally.

The same Problem for JDBC-Connections using JDBC 4.50.JC9, CSM is already disabled and SSO-Connections are not possible any more:

java.sql.SQLException: CSM Encryption is no longer supported
