Add Readonly Database Connection Support

It would be beneficial to have a readonly connection when accessing the database from third party software. Many products provide the ability to connect via JDBC but they also have the ability to make changes.

Example LibreOffice Base can be setup to connect to the Informix database to give Calc the ability to retrieve data from the database and into a spreadsheet. The problem is that it can also make changes.


I see two options for this:

1. Support the JDBC readonly parameter.

2. Add the ability to to create a database view that is a readonly alias for database. It can even possibly have it's own separate security access than the database it's pointing to.
