RELATED IDEAS

ER should have an option to replicate tables between different databases

Currently there is not an option in ER that would allows us to replicate a table from database A to database B. You must use the same database.

There are real life situations where you need to replicate a table to a differente server/instance/database.

    Unless I'm missing something, what is being requested seems to be this:
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/informix-servers/14.10?topic=replication-loopback
    for replication within the same instance, and ER was created to replictae data across instances.
    So I don't really understand was more is being requested?

    Like I said earlier in my opening statement the idea is that ER should have an option so we can replicate data between different databases within an instance, or even a remote instance, all inside Informix. I am not mentioning any other RDBMS flavor here.

    I'm not fully understanding this RFE. By "different" databases, do the author mean different database products?
