The Oracle 12.2 version has a feature called 'Application Continuity'. Application Continuity is used to improve the user experience when handling both unplanned outages and planned maintenance. It masks outages from end users and applications by recovering the in-flight work for impacted database sessions following outages. Application Continuity performs this recovery beneath the application so that the outage appears to the application as a slightly delayed execution.
The impact for this will be for anybody who is connecting Data Stage to an Oracle database 12.2 version.

@IBM team, any updates on this?
Hi Team,
Do you have any news regarding App Continuity for Data Stage ?
Thanks
Oracle 19c is a good option for us ( with Data Stage 11.7 )
Given that Oracle 12c is going out of support soon, we can consider certifying this for oracle 19c (the one advised by Oracle, to be the long term support release for 12c, as you can see here https://www.oracle.com/nz/database/technologies/). Are you considering an upgrade of the database on your side, or is 12c a mandatory requirement here?
Best Regards,
