Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Command line for IA Console remove/add data source
In support of IA project metadata supporting data rules we schedule weekly imam imports for sources which are data sources for the IA project.
There are occasions when the imam changes do not propagate and cannot be viewed when inspecting the schema in IA console.
The resolution to this issue to to manually remove the data source and then add the data source back.
we would like to perform this operation via IAADmin.sh command or other command line executions.
Separately this remove/add operation can invalidate bindings of existing rules reliant on the data source. However we remedy this simply with reimport using update for the rule xmls which resolves binding issue.
This enhancement would ensure we have non-manual method available for our weekly sync of metadata is consistent with the schema and supporting rule migrations to the benefit of weekly rule executions.
