This portal is to open public enhancement requests against products and services offered by the IBM Data Platform organization. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

It would be valuable to support global settings for all other parameters (check all stage properties) across job, project, and server levels, including::
• Sort behavior (e.g., NULLS FIRST/LAST)
• Case sensitivity in joins and sorts
• Variant settings in connectors
• Array/transaction size, isolation level
• Root file paths in file-related stages (Dataset, Sequential File, Unstructured, etc.)
Regarding the last point: An alternative approach could be defining a global project directory path that stages reference, optionally parameterized by stage type (e.g., subfolders for lookup files, datasets, sequential files). It would also help to enforce consistent naming conventions—such as suffixes for datasets or lookup file sets.
Lastly, please consider allowing multiple template configurations which contain all these settings within a single project that can be easily switched between. This would support different development or deployment environments and improve flexibility.
