Re-Start DataStage job (or sequence) with identical parameter settings

It would be a huge benefit to get an simple option to start a job or sequence with the identical parameter settings of the last run. Having Jobs with many parameters and parameter sets this takes time to do it manually and the parameters have to be copied to a backup location (editor) before because the parameters of the last run could not stay opened (in the director) while the job run options dialog is open for the re-start.

It is useful for testing when a Job aborts (gets corrected) and re-run or in production after a job abort where it needs to be re-started to try again (i.e. locking problem in the database etc.)

    Thanks for the idea. As part of our plans for the future of DataStage, we are re-designing parameters/parameter sets and will be able to address this feedback as part of this work.
