Enable Custom SQL for AWS Redshift connector

Problem statement:

For all our ETL transformations across NYL, we use custom SQL to extract the data.

Workaround in POC:

We are using JDBC connector to read data from Redshift Database

Using native redshift connector will definitely improve the performance compared to JDBC connector

This feature is in development, and will be part of the next Information Server release. If you need a patch containing this feature, before the next IS official release, please open a support ticket and reference this Patch JR64368.

It is not yet available in Datastage next gen/Cloud pak, but we'll work on getting this done.

Suncorp in Australia have exactly the same need and for the same reasons. We would expect this feature to exist for the Redshift connector in the same way that exists for say DB2 or Oracle.

This is required in IBM Cloudpak for DataStage.
