We are using bitbucket through command line for all our code migration activities. We were hoping to see Data Flow Designer provide a UI based integration with BitBucket and GitHub.
However the gap is that for the connectivity to work, GIT needs space on the services tier to clone the local repository.
We have grid and big integrate platforms with a 3 or 4 tier topoligy with services running on smaller virtual or baremetal servers which do not have access to large storage or to the shared file systems that engine nodes have. This was also not mentioned in any design requirements during then initial build of the platforms. So there has to be a mechanism to shift this addtional storage overhead from the services tier to the engine tier.
