In the current 11.7 implementation, each datastage job has to be pushed on to GITHUB repository. Say that there are 100 jobs in a datastage project, each job has to be opened in the flow designer and then published to the GITHUB repo.
This is a time consuming process since the same step has to be repeated for each of the 100 jobs. In real world implementations, every DataStage project contains thousands of jobs( 7000 in our case) and publishing each and every job to GITHUB is a tedious and frustrating process which is a waste of time and resources.
The situation gets more worse when people migrate from older versions of datastage to the newer versions like 11.7.
The GITHUB integration with flow designer has to be made user friendly by providing the bulk publish feature like other CI/CD tools in the market.
In the current implementation it lacks the basic features that other CI/CD tools provide.
