Better messages in setup to help on debug

I had a problem during IBM Information Server installation. It passes all the prereqs verification, than I choose to use an exisitng WebSPhere installation and it returns an error after discovering the WAS Profile.
WARNING: com.ibm.is.install.ui.web.JettyWebContainer /ISInstall java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "39.41666793823242"

I ended up solving the problem by using the ./setup.sh script to reinstall WAS instead of using an existing one. It seems that there are some problem with my WAS profile that it is not clear by reading the error messages.
I regret that Infosphere installation has such a bad method, that do not allow to see more detail messages of which problem is it having contacting  a pre-existing WAS server. You should escalate this to the Product developers to improve the setup method. It makes no sense that you allow to install an create a WAS profile separately, but then we cannot use it.
I recommend to enable some kind of debug option in setup. some better message, showing the reason to not being able to connect to WAS.
