Enable Table/Schema/Database-Level Filtering When Searching Database Columns in Custom Attribute Relationships

Hello,

In IBM Information Governance Catalog (IGC), we have configured custom attributes with relationships addressing database columns to define primary data source references. However, due to the scale of our organization, the current dropdown list for adding primary data sources provides filtering only by column name, which is insufficient for our operational needs.
When searching for a specific column name, the system returns hundreds of results across numerous tables, schemas, and databases as many columns share the same name across different objects. This generates an unmanageably large list, making it nearly impossible to identify and select the correct column within the intended table. As a result, this significantly impacts our productivity and causes serious operational bottlenecks during data asset association.

Even when the relationship target is set to Database Column, we request the implementation of advanced filtering functionality that allows users to narrow down search results by table name, schema name, and database name in addition to the existing column name filter. This is a necessary improvement to ensure efficient workflow in large scale environments.

We kindly ask that this enhancement be prioritized and a timeline for implementation be provided.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards.
