Data validation in a skill when data source is a list uploaded from excel/csv

We would like to see an data validation option provided for a list data uploaded through an excel file.

Following are the possible validations that could warn user when an incorrect is being uploaded

  1. Validation during file upload: A skill should error out during the file upload

  2. Apply slot logic for list input: Based on the WxO documentation, the slot logic doesn't support complex objects like a list input for validation.

  3. Highlight Error through field verification: Highlight the errors cells in red or with a message to the user as soon as a file is uploaded

Below features missing following features

1. Bulk upload using template:

There is a disconnect between template columns which are defined based on property names and the download of table content is based on Column name defined within on the user screen.

Expected functionality: Match the download column name same as the template column names or viceversa

2. Template feature needs to improve:

Validation is limited to missing field data and new additional fields added into the template

Expected functionality: Expland the validation to datatype and ability to ignore additional or invalid columns

    Field validation is being incorporated into the new forms capability planned for wxO agentic workflows (flows) in Q3/Q4 2025.
