Intelligent Data Source and Credentials Replacement in Job Steps

Whenever a job step is created based on an IBM SPSS Modeler stream, the user has to specify the resources to use for the ODBC DSN and Credentials for each ODBC data source/export node in the underlying stream.
Each selection requires a minimum of 6 (six) mouse clicks to complete and each data source has both a DSN and credentials adding up to at least 12 mouse clicks for each Database source/export node in each stream.
In many cases, each stream will connect to very few (often just one or two) data sources, but will retrieve data from many different tables or views within these data sources. In most cases, one would use the same credentials to connect to the same data source in all instances.
I would very much like to see a more intelligent way to replace or select the ODBC DSN and Credentials resources to be used.
I propose that it should recognize when multiple Database source/export nodes are connecting to the same data source in the stream, and then ask the user if the job step should do the same.
