The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Would love to have SPSS CNDS access sql databases hosted on Cloud(azure sql database or azure sql managed instance or AWS RDS). As an organization direction to move to cloud, recently we have spun up Azure sql database as a service and tried to point out CNDS to Azure SQL Database and access application, application failed with connectivity errors.We have spun up azure sql managed instance, tried pointing out CNDS to managed instance ran into similar issues i.e application couldn't come up and failed with database connectivity errors.Upon reaching out to product support, we were told that SPSS CNDS doesn't support any cloud offerings.As there is no other way and hit and dead end with product not supporting cloud offerings, have to revert back to traditional method i.e host a database on on premises.
