SPSS Modeler 18.1.1 on Windows's support for a data source PostgreSQL on RHEL

System: SPSS Modeler 18.1.1

Actor: User needing a PostgreSQL data source to support SPSS Modeler on Windows platform as well as a current Linux support


Description: In Japan, there are many PostgreSQL users including the customer for this request which is not supported by SPSS Modeler on Windows platform.
They demanded IBM's assistance to use SPSS Modeler on Windows Server accessing PostgreSQL.

    This appears to have been supported for quite some time.  I've had a customer using Modeler against Postgres for about 4 years.  If you install the latest SPSS Data Access Pack, a PostgresSQL ODBC driver is included.  Who says it isn't supported?
