New UI – Search within Collaboration Areas

In New UI, today we can search for items within a Catalog in multiple ways. However, we there’s no way to do so in Collaboration Areas.

Consider a following use case:

A user is working with 4-5 Collaboration Areas and each area consists of 2-3 steps and each step consists of 15-20 items. A user now wants to work with the item “123” but he does not know the exact location of the item (Collaboration Area and step). In order to track the item, user has 2 options:

  1. Look for it one by one in Collaboration Area and Step
  2. Search for the item in Catalog, open the item, click on checked out item, get the Collaboration Area name, go to the Collaboration Area and look for the item in each step until you find it.

 

There should be an easy option to search for the item in Collaboration Area as well.
