Persona UI free text result systematization

Hi Team,

I am a user of Persona UI and have difficulty with reading the result of the free text search. Specifically the 'Entry info' segment.

The problem with free text search is that it is searching in every spec by default and excluding the unnecessary attributes from them is a big effort to do with every single user, so we need some improvement there.

My idea to improve it and make it more user-friendly is to systematize the entry info segment to columns. To go further, the columns should be moveable and can be hidden if not needed.

That way we could read the Entry info of the search easier and also find the result we our looking for much easier ( e.g.: model or part number of Product, etc)

What do you think?

Thank you!

    Dear Rohit Swarup,

I was aware of the exclusion but that is way to big of an effort to do with every user who will use the new UI.

I am a bit disappointed that the column solution is not an option.

So to summerize this, even though there is a way to modify the free text search (way too big effort to do with every single user...) it will stay the same way as it is for now. Unfortunately it is quite useless this way for us.

    Thanks for looking into this.

    Best regards

    Demeter

The Free text search (FTS) feature allows user to include or exclude any attribute as per business need. More information around this is provided at below page.

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/product-master/12.0.0?topic=search-excluding-content-from-free-text-results

Regarding the suggestion related to showing each attribute in a separate column, it is not possible as the FTS is an unstructured type of search and the result may come from variety of types of products and hence the attribute names would certainly differ.
