Be able to selectively export individual records out of Catalogs using the Java API

When you have multiple IBM Product Master Environments, some for development and some for production, you may want to promote changes from development to production. However, if some records in a catalog are still in development when other records are ready for promotion, you may corrupt working changes in production with in progress changes from development for the records that are not ready for promotion if you simply promote the entire catalog content.

As such, we would like to be able to export not just the full catalog content at once, but also be able to select certain records in the catalog to be exported. This can either be via selecting a category and all records within that category and any sub-category gets exported, or even just by item id or primary key, and adding them to an ExportList ready for export out of the development environment and into the production environment.

    Hi,

    Based on the above details shared, this feature already exists in the Persona UI.

    Using the Traditional Search feature, user can search for those products that need to be published and then use the Export feature to export all the records to Excel. The same excel can be then utilized to import the data on the other environment, assuming the data model on both environments are the same.

    Also user can select items in catalog and export only the selected items, but this would need to be done at each category level.
