Improving Workflow Transparency: Items Progress and Read-Only Access

To enhance visibility and management of items within a workflow, we propose the following improvements:

  1. Display Total Number of Items: Allow users to see the total number of items in the workflow, either globally or by step. This will provide a clear overview and facilitate progress tracking.

  2. Track Items Progress: Enable the user who creates an item to know at which step their item currently is in the workflow. This will allow for better management and more precise tracking.

  3. Read-Only Access: Provide the option to configure one or more steps in the workflow as read-only. This will allow certain users to view the information without being able to modify it, ensuring better security and more controlled data management.

These improvements aim to increase transparency, traceability, and security within the workflow, while also facilitating collaboration and article management.
