"Hierarchy and Catalog views can be customized to personalize how item attributes are presented to a user" (Infocenter)
Currently, in Single-edit or multi-edit screen, users can see all views configured/available. It is not a problem from Security/Access right point of view but it is a problem of UI since views should be aligned with user profile.
So we would like to improve customization capability for Views : - Hide/Remove "System Default" - Define catalog default view and always select this one by default for a new user (before user switch to another available view) - For a container (Hierarchy or Catalog), define a list of view to display for a specific group of users (defined by a "role" for example)
As a result, it would be possible to define one single view for a specific group of user (and make sure they cannot switch to another view).
Such UI customization would make it easier is based on user profile.
