MDM Containers compliant to general standards

Currently the MDM Container do not follow general standards like the one from RedHat (https://www.redhat.com/en/resources/cloud-native-container-design-whitepaper). This makes it harder to adopt these containers for environments.

We now have to make them compliant for our selfs and other IBM customers most like also have to do this.

    Hi Erik,

Our engineering team has provided the following feedback. Please let us know your thoughts.

This is very good cloud native development standards. Our SaaS offering does stick to these standard fully. However it's hard for our on-prem offering to achieve these standards fully.

Issues that we are aware of, like large image size and build time cross container dependency, are hard to address. The on-prem offering is not originally designed for cloud native and the above issues are hard to resolve unless we fully rewrite it. This is why we wrote the SaaS offering fully cloud native from scratch.

We can setup a call with you and your team to have a deeper discussion on what your major concerns are and see if these are something we can address.

    Thanks
