After careful consideration and review, we will not be updating the machine learning stewardship task user experience with overlay tasks. Our intent with MLDS was not to replace the existing UIs with this new ML assisted UI. It was only created for the new ML assisted task resolutions for "Potential Duplicates" and "Potential Linkage". Further, there is no real use case for machine learning in dealing with "Potential Overlay" as that function is more about a workflow to fix data in the source systems and keep track of it. While we recognize the benefit of a single UI for all tasks, the time and effort would materially delay progress on our comprehensive redesign of the entire stewardship experience. We would welcome you or members of your team to participate via our User Experience Program to materially affect the direction and features of the new Stewardship Experience, should this be something you are interested in.
Our data stewards had a web session with IBM MDM Product Team and explained different scenarios that lead to Potential Overlay task resolution in MDM Inspector. Can you pls let us know the update?
Potential Overlay task is the most serious task among data issue tasks that need to be resolved by data stewards. They are currently using Inspector to review and resolve PO tasks. They would prefer resolve them using MLDS over Inspector
