RELATED IDEAS

Ability to add select an email recipient based on the location / folder path for notifications sent via OOTB workflow

Currently, email notifications in the OOTB Workflow can only be designed to send to users based on the User/groups and whether as ‘Assignees’ or ‘Subscribers’ in a workflow stage. It cannot be designed/configured based on the location of the object or its parent. We would like to have this functionality in IBM for the following benefits:

  • Useful in our goal to reduce email notifications sent by OpenPages as this will provide us the design leverage to be more precise in targeting the person/s who need/s to be notified based on the location of the record.
  • Improve user experience
  • Less reliance on custom code solutions in terms of notification.
