In almost all cases when a PDF file has been uploaded as a file attachment in OP, users want a way to be able to view the PDF by clicking a link in OP, and NOT have to download the PDF to their local drive first in order to view it. For example, someone approving the PDF does not need a local copy, they just want to review or approve what was uploaded to OP. Now they have quite a number of clicks just to view the PDF and then have to clean-up their local drive on top of that afterward to remove what they were forced to download from OP. Really old versions (pre 7.1) of OP had a "view file" link that allowed them to view the file without having to download it. Also, previous to 8.3, OP developers were able to use a URL workaround such as this: http://myopserver.com:10118/openpages/view.resource.do?fileId=108090
to directly open the file without having to download, but now this feature has been eliminated too. Trying to use the URL workaround above now just brings the user to the task UI and task view of the file attachment.
