KRI Reminders Not Sent for Records Created on Due Date

The requirement is for the system to send two reminder notifications to the user regarding a KRI:

  • One notification 1 day before the due date.

  • One notification on the due date.

The stage is currently configured with the following properties:

  • Send first reminder x days before due date = 1

  • Send reminders on due date = True

With this configuration, the system currently generates both notifications when the KRI record is created before the due date. However, when the KRI record is created on the same day as the due date, the system does not generate any notification.

Scenario where the system is working as expected:

KRI created on: September 15
Due date: September 16
Notifications sent: 2 (on the 15th and 16th)
Notifications expected: 2 (on the 15th and 16th)

Scenario where the system is not working as expected:
KRI created on: September 16
Due date: September 16
Notifications sent: 0 (No notifications)
Notifications expected: 1 (on the 16th)

We would like the system to generate the notification on the due date when the KRI record is created on the same day as its due date, while maintaining the existing reminder behavior for records created before the due date.
