Allow hierarchical view to select objects

Some objects can be naturally represented in a hierarchical view (for ex. Structures, Business Entities, etc.). In OpenPages today it is possible to create new elements in the tree, associate elements to objects, etc., by selecting them from a list. It would also be good to be able to have a graphical representation of the objects in the hierarchy and select the ones to be associated to another object. Also, a filter on the hierachy elements should be considered.

The use case to be considered is the following:

I have a Structure definition that can change over time. Some objects in the Structure definition can be added, deleted or moved. This structure can be easily be represented by a hierachical view (a tree). I would like to be able to see it as a tree and select the nodes I'm interested into to associate them to an OpenPages object. Also, I'd like to filter the tree view based on attribute values to show only the nodes that fulfill the defined filter. For example: show only the ACTIVE Structures or show the Structures that were ACTIVE ad a specific date.

Today the elements of a Structure are listed and can be filtered. This idea will make OpenPages more usable
