Bulk Update Configuration to Exclude Fields and Apply RUles

Provide the ability for administrators to define on a per object basis what fields can be updated in bulk using existing functionality in TFUI. Also, allow rules to specified for fields to be updated I.E. a text 'Risk Title' field needs to be over 50 characters.

    Hello Christophe,

    Yes for us it is part of the workflow from endusers to change the status of a risk and also e.g. the risk/ control owner at the same time. At the moment we have no other cases, where we have a need to change any other fields.

    So this would be a very helpful function, if we could adjust the bulk update function this way, that several fields can be "opened" for end users and some may be restricted.

    In general, do all of you see it at a bulk "Workflow" Action, I want to approve all the follwoing Risk where approve is a workflow action (it might set a status automatically)

    or is there a need for other use cases ?I m thinking of things like " update control owner " or is this more an admin function

    Hello Christophe,

    Short information about our business:We have more than 2500 users who evaluate more than 7000 risks on a quaterly basis. In one use case we distribute more than 50 risks to more than 200 entities. The users in these entities use the bulk update functionality to change the status of the risks. In 8.1 it was possible to configure the bulk update fields the end user could alter and we would highly appreciate this functionality in 8.2.

    + Now this Bulk Update is of limited use to us / the users, if it is only intended for administrators, who of course can change all fields. Therefore we would be very helpful if we had a version of the Bulk Update optimized for single, limited fields.

    I was wondering you could share the actual use use case you are looking at

    Here an example

    Who: 1000 users in the business ?

    What: Need to be able to close 1000 Loss Event

    The Bulk update is a powerfull feature, we initially though should only be available to experience users .

    Based on the request, you would like to provide a restricted version for the 1st line

    Absolutely essential for several reportings within IBM Open pages. Bulk update ensures time saving of at least two days of work for the colleagues in terms of some reportings performed in IBM Open pages. Please add this function, without this function the smooth process of some repotings is at risk.
