Ability to edit and check in attachments without saving to desktop.

It would be useful to have the ability to edit and check in attachments without saving to desktop.

As a user, I should have the ability to ‘Edit’ the attachment without saving to my desktop on clicking the ‘Edit’ button.

On clicking ‘Edit’ button, attachment opened in read only mode should switch to ‘Edit’ mode on the activity screen.

User should be allowed to make required edits int he attachment on the attachment activity screen itself.

All the ‘Edit’ capabilities provided by Microsoftword, Microsoft excel and Adobe PDF should be available on attachment activity screen during ‘Edit’ mode.

When user clicks the ‘Edit’ button, system should ‘Check out & Open’ the attachment automatically.

As a user, when edits to an attachment are complete- I should have the ability to save my attachment by clicking the ‘Save’ button.

When user clicks the ‘Save’ button, system should ‘Check in’ the attachment automatically and override the existing version.

Add a new feature for ‘Check in as new version ’under ‘Attachments’ drop-down in menu.

On click of ‘Check in as new version’, user should be allowed to create a new version of the same attachment, leaving the original version as-is.

If a user attempts to close/ navigate from the attachment activity screen without ‘Save’ > System should throw a validation message to user directing them to ‘Save/ Check in’ the document otherwise the edits made will be lost.

On close- System should discard all the previous versions of the attachment and retain only the latest version.
