Hi, this is very important and needed for us too.
Per customer's request:
STEPS: File upload Required Fields
1. User makes an upload. Just the Description is being displayed. This is a "Required Field"
2. After the file completes the upload, the user Click on " Edit" this file
3. In the Edit screen, he can see the following items set with asterisk
showing the following other required fields:
CODE
DOCUMENT TYPE
DESCRIPTION
Today, customer is making many uploads and needs to have a rework accessing all objects to fill those required fields. The question is: how the product is allowing the creation of a new object with some Required Fields with empty values ? This should not be allowed and this is the reason all Required Fields should be listed in the "Upload page".
This was partially provided in 8.1:
- View Version history, the task view designer provides now the ability to add a "Version Component" that will list all the versions in the File Task View
- Download is also available through the version component
