Ability to create a filter without saving the filter

A personal filter requires the user to save, so when the user wishes to do an ad hoc query, they have to save the filter then perform housekeeping by deleting. A more useful function would be the ability to save an applied filter once the data has been filtered.

    Thank you again for submitting this RFE!

    This functionality has been confirmed to be available in the Task Focused UI as far back as OpenPages 8.1.0.2 (the oldest system that I had available to confirm against). This capability, perhaps, was even available in an earlier release prior to 8.1.0.2...


    For filters that you do not wish to save, you should NOT enter a name in the filter "Name" field. If you do not specifiy a name then the filter will stay Un-Saved.
