Created By system field should be assignable as the a GRC Workflow stage assignee
I raise this as a defect, but support team said it was just product limitation. Basically, in a GRC workflow stage, we want to be able to select the object creator "System Fields: Created By" as the Assignee for a stage. That option is not available, which does not make sense since there are other System user fields available such as "System Workflow Fields:Workflow Start User", "System Workflow Fields:Action Comment Owner", etc.
Assigning a workflow stage to the object creator is a common use-case. We have tried to workaround this limitation by setting the assignee to the "System Workflow Fields:Workflow Start User" (because it is an auto-start workflow). However this poses problems because we have a need to restart the workflow at times, so this user changes from time to time, when we really need it to be static just like the object creator.
