Although sensibly de-prioritised, change history is an important future addition to the new UI.
This request focuses on how change history could be better presented (the current standard UI change history format is not easy to read).
Option 1. Each field has an icon in one of the corners of the field, which when clicked, opens up a drop down / pop up that says what the previous values were, and when they were changed. (see attachment for a rough visualisation)
Option 2. Ability to then select all changes that happened at the same time as a change the user clicks on - this would give similar data to the current UI, but filtered to a specific date/time and ideally formatted more clearly.
Option 3. Charts can be configured to show the change in a field's value over time, utlisiing change history to gather the data for the (time series) chart
Option 4 (added July 2019) Allow the user to select to view change history on the same Task views they currently use. When this option is selected and date selector or slider bar is presented to them. By sliding the bar or selecting one of the highlighted date/times, the user is presented with original / revised values in the field. This allows them to view change history in the same context as they normally view their data.
