Address Session timeouts so that users have opportunity to save their work

We have found that a user session usually timeout around 1 to 2 hours. The user is given a dialog to either logout or continue working. If continue working is selected, the session still timeouts and our security engineers have lost hours of work.

In case TS009237305, it was suggested to make the session timeout to 28800 seconds, or 8 hours. Which we did, but the team has security concerns.

Although timing out the session after 8 hours is a solution, is it the best solution? It is not secure and as a security and compliance team for FS Cloud, we actually have controls that this violates. Is there a solution to notify the customer that there session is expiring after an hour of no activity and give them the option to logout or continue working? If continue working is selected, the session is renewed for another hour or so?

This will us to offer a more secure solution to our ISV partners.
