#2 - TDF New Release: should be able to do an ‘update’ when a new version is available

Based on a review of previous documents and our current experience with the Optim Test Data Fabrication tool, we are requesting the below items be considered as Requirements from State Farm for enhancements to the Optim Test Data Fabrication tool.

  1. Should be able to do an ‘update’ when a new version is available. This update should not impact any of the customer created items including user authorizations, templates, rules, projects, and fabricated data.  If an update needs to convert any of these files, it should be documented and should include potential risks to those items created by the customer.

Hey Bruce, it sounds like you have had some negative experiences with upgrading TDF artifacts from release to release. I know this is a somewhat old requirement, but do you happen to remember details about the specific challenges you encountered so we can avoid them in future?
