Hi, I have not seen enough demand for Cosmos DB specifically that Optim can put native support into the 2023 roadmap. We will re-consider this in future release planning activities.

Meanwhile: Optim may allow non-native connectivity to Cosmos DB. Have you considered other ways to use Optim on data in Cosmos DB?

    • Cosmos DB provides an ODBC and JDBC driver access. It could be used with IBM Db2 to access data in Cosmos DB

    • CDATA provides a connector from Oracle DB to Cosmos DB, and Optim provides native support for Oracle.

    • Optim 11.7 provides native PostgreSQL access up to v11. The roadmap plan for Optim in Q1 2023 for Fixpack 1 of Optim 11.7 (called 11.7.0.1) contains upgrade support for more recent releases of PostgreSQL. Cosmos DB has a PostgreSQL interface.
