Hi Peter,
Our organization BNY Mellon uses your IBM Optim product heavily for data archival, we hoped our request will be considered since we made it very clear that java8 is no longer supported in our organization and it is considered vulnerabilities for which we have an exception approval. However unfortunately it hasn't been considered yet and we don't even have a definite plan for it. Getting another extension without having a definite plan is very difficult which will push for look for some alternatives outside. Can we have any possibility of getting a definite plan for java11 support please?
Thanks,
Akshay Alok
As you can see at the Oracle Java Support Life Cycle page, Java 8 did come to an end of premier support. However, extended support is available through 2030.
Optim Development is evaluating the right time to change support to a higher level of Java.
