Enhance OPTIM to default to "DOFILE_EXPANSION NO" on zOS.

  • Reduce SAVRS output by 90%.

    • State Farm executes several thousand jobs a day when executing the scrubbing of our Enterprise Data Capture. If the underlying SAVRS datasets fill up, that causes problems, and they have to be prematurely migrated. Since we don't have a need for that output, it would be best if we could default "DOFILE_EXPANSION NO" to suppress that additional output.

    • If it was for any reason needed, it would be on an individual job basis for troubleshooting purposes. Someone should have the option to override with "DOFILE_EXPANSION YES" to expand the dofile and then review the output.

  • This would save State Farm from having to manually code "DOFILE_EXPANSION NO" in hundreds of JCL skeletons as we have no need for that output.

  • This would also align with the behavior of prior OPTIM version 113.
