Segmentation data extraction

  • Current situation: the IBM Optim v11.7.0.0 tool performs record extraction in database engines in bulk on the configured tables. In this process, a "select *" query, without WHERE clause,  is executed on all the records contained in the table. The only way to limit the size of the query is with a "where" type condition that requires a prior analysis of the registry volumes that result from this parameterization. The "Row limit" parameter only allows records to be paged after the bulk extraction attempt.
  • Description: An implementation option can be carried out by pagination of data through the configuration of SQL cursors in the query that is performed in the "Extract" process. The tool should allow incorporating a "Cursor limit" type parameter to indicate the number of records to be incorporated into the cursor or pagination of the query.

    Dear all

We think this improvement makes sense and adds value to the product, as it is a situation that may comes up in other clients.

    Thanks in advance
