Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Optim and PostgreSQL - Objects extraction

    Description: Optim TDM can extract data and objects , but PostgreSQL there is a restriction today, only data. The request is provide PostgreSQL object extraction. Is there a big issue to implement it? Is possible to be included in the next realease?

    Use case: There are 3 options to extract by Optim TDM: 1. Objects and Data 2. Data 3. Objects Only option number 2 (data) works using PostgreSQL Thus, to create new testing environments would need to manually create all the tables contained in the database, whose data were extracted. A customer requeriments is data and objects must be able to extract, because there are about 300 PostgreSQL databases in production that will feed the non-production environment. Another interesting point is that the customer intends to use Optim TDM to automate the process of creating non-productive environments, because there are constant errors generated by manual intervention. The fix for this item, would avoid the need for manual intervention and possible future errors after the acquisition of the product.
