Switch DNS server for ALL Quick /Exploration reports to backup if prod fails

Assuming I am running a PAL/PAW/PAW setup and at the same time I have a backup system which is doing an hourly backup of my entire production system. If my production system gets corrupted, then I can immediately switch over to my backup setup so that my users will experience minimal downtime and continue working whilst we fix the production.

Many of my users are now running Quick reports and the backup setup will probably not share the same DNS server name as the production. So what is the fastest way that we can repoint all the quick reports from production DNS to the TEST.

Custom reports won't be affected but any file saved exploration views or quick reports will fail. And not all users have the technical know how to do the backend changes.


Is IBM thinking of making it easier for users to switch DNS server via a button in PAX OR something for situations like these?
