Planning Analytics: Possibility to secure views and sets

You can secure many Planning Analytics objects (e.g. cubes, elements, cells, applications..), but you cannot secure views or sets. In huge environments there are often many public views/sets and it would be great to have a user group-based security for these objects too.

This idea is not under consideration. We have no short term plan to address security for views or subsets in TM1.

However, please consider that Hierarchies do allow for security as of the 2.0.9.5 release of IBM Planning Analytics. Security on hierarchies can be used to determine access to named subsets (since subsets) belong to hierarchies. We have also implemented some functionality in PAW that makes it possible to limit or filter the list of named TM1 subsets that are exposed to end users.

Views in Workspace do have (Workspace) security applied.
