Subset grouping in logical folders

Have the possibility to group subsets into various folders/sub-folders to make them easier to consume by the end user. A large user base can result in a large number of public subsets that can result in confusion when scrolling through endless lists of subsets in PAW or PAX. Grouping these subsets into functional task-driven (definable) folders will make the navigation easier and more understandable.

The idea is that it resembles something similar to the grouping of TM1 objects (processes, views and Excel reports) required to perform a definable task - as used to be the case in the Application folder of Perspectives.

This idea is not under consideration at this time. Please consider that subsets are unique to the hierarchy in the dimension thy belong to. It's already possible to create different hierarchies just to organize groupings of subsets. Also, we recently released a feature in Workspace books that allows the book author to limit the list of subsets the end user can choose from. Please see: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=2wnj22-select-sets-that-display-in-dimension-drop-down-1

That feature is also being implemented on the selector widget in Workspace books.

You can also hide subsets in Workspace books by naming the subset starting with '__'.
