This idea is not under consideration. We are not planning to add TM1 cubes as a data source for TI processes in current versions of TM1.
However, it's already possible with TM1 v12 (database version found in Planning Analytics SaaS and Cloud Pak for Data Planning Analytics) to write TI processes that pull data from other TM1 models without the need for external components or services such as FTP. There are some planned enhancements to TM1 v12 make it easier and faster to read data from remote databases.
Sorry about the misspelling (writing wihout the glasses on :)
The common interaction between TM1 models is currently through text files (or csv).
1. This would ease the overhead of exporting such files in the source model
2. This would make the data more reliable and current, and on demand. Currently, we need to define an export chore in the source model and sink the scheduled time for export/import in both models
3. In PAW books, we could then use a single button to sink the data between models on demand
