This portal is to open public enhancement requests against products and services offered by the IBM Data & AI organization. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

An example:
For a dimension, the element and parent elements have a currency attribute and there is also another currency dimension with the elements of local currency and global currency. A currency conversion takes place on the parent elements.
Both dimensions are added as rows in the cube view. You cannot create a dynamic subset in the line for the Currency dimension.
Can you provide more details about your use case. It is possible to have an expression (MDX) based subset on any axis of the cube viewer including the row axis. The MDX expression for the set can reference other the dimensions and data in the current view using the Filter function and currentmember property of MDX.
Is this requirement about to making it easier to build complex view MDX expressions that reference other dimensions and data? We do have feature work planned in 2024 that will support data based filtering in the cube viewer.
If the problem is specific to a limitation in MDX or a limitation of how the PAW cube viewer uses view MDX, can you provide a simplified example that we could reproduce?
