Applications and Plans - Hover Text Configuration

Allow hover text to be customizable for objects within PAW. For example, If I hover my curser over an action button I want to specify that a hover text box shows up and describes what the button is going to do. This should be configurable in the action button properties. In the example, HoverText01.png, hovering over the Export Button prompts a hover text to be displayed that reads “Export data to server”.

Hover text should also be configurable for Cube Views and the elements/measures within the view. In the second example image, HoverText02.png, a hover text box appears over the element header, but this is not configurable, we would like to be able to edit the hover text for any elements.


Example: In the image HoverText03.png the hover text gives a description of the measure Constrained EOP U. The users can see that EOP means End of Period. In addition to a descriptor, the calculation logic is also displayed so that the user can understand the data.

    This idea is not under consideration. Note that we already have a shape widget tooltip feature to provide additional details to users that click on a shape widget.

    This idea can continue to accumulate votes and the Planning Analytics product team may reconsider this idea based on number of votes and comments.
